Crisis Intervention
United Way of Hall County envisions that Hall County residents will have the resources to meet their basic needs and to support individuals and families in crisis situations.
What We Know *- The down turn in economic conditions and increased unemployment rate has created an escalation in need for crisis intervention services.
- Of all calls to United Way 2-1-1 in 2009, the greatest request was for rent, utility or housing financial assistance.
- In 2008, the rate of substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect was 7.5% per 1000 children in Hall County. Since 1994, the rate has decreased from 13.5% per 1000 children and is also below the Georgia average.
* This data comes from United Way 2-1-1 and the May 2010 Hall LIFE Report. More information can be found at www.hcfcn.org.
